Devoteam presents its strategy to refocus and accelerate growth in Italy

Following its recent acquisition, Devoteam plans to launch a new business and recruitment strategy to strengthen its position and influence in Italy

Milan, April 17th, 2023 – Devoteam, a technology consulting company with over 10,000 employees in 20 countries across EMEA, has just announced its strategy to refocus and accelerate its growth in Italy. The recent share acquisition within the Italian subsidiary empowers Devoteam to develop its ambitions and skills with a plan to grow rapidly.

Devoteam has reached its objective of one billion euros of turnover in 2022 with an operating margin of more than €100 million and growth of 20%, of which 16% was organic. With the annual TechRadar, a 100% agnostic guide produced by Devoteam’s top experts, Devoteam also plays the role of a pathfinder and enables companies to find their way through the myriad of emerging technologies.

The Devoteam value of excellence, enforced by strong partnerships with leading and most innovative technology platforms companies such as AWS, ServiceNow, Ousystems and others, will be now available to both local and international customers located in Italy. “Companies want to better manage their Cloud, better govern their data and ensure their security and sovereignty.” says Stanislas de Bentzmann, CEO of Devoteam, “Our strategy, driven by talent density and technology curation, is unique so that we offer cutting-edge niche technical skills to guarantee companies’ digital transformation.”

Devoteam’s  new acceleration strategy

Devoteam has been working successfully in Italy since 2006, the acquisition marked the start of an acceleration process the company has in mind for Italy based on business growth and recruitment. Devoteam is building off work it has completed in Italy for partners like BMC and ServiceNow, focusing on a new structure that encourages growth on both its current Italian assets and the new opportunities opened by its global footprint.

This new strategy will replicate in Italy the most successful initiatives by Devoteam through business integrating processes, leveraging the value of both its expert teams and partner teams in Italy with centers of excellence located throughout the EMEA region. The Devoteam approach is holistic, it merges technical innovation with business which immediately brings value to customers by driving a digital transformation that is aligned with business priorities.

“We are convinced that to create a successful partnership, the companies must share the same values. And this is precisely one of the advantages of our partnership with Devoteam, the desire to satisfy the customer within a growth path that includes a 360-degree service, not just the sale of one or more products. Technology today is alongside business and contributes decisively to the achievement of objectives, which

is why we are very satisfied with this agreement and believe that our platform will provide the best results at all market levels”, stated Amedeo Muro, Enterprise Sales Head of ServiceNow.

A primary business focus for the company will center around Cloud Adoption and Cloud Optimization, as a major catalyst for digital innovation and growth within Italy. A recent IDC study predicted that the overall cloud-related spending in Italy will grow by 22% in 2023, proving how integral it will be during Italy’s rapid digitalisation. As of 2022, large companies within Italy have a 44% cloud adoption rate, while in PMI’s 52% of companies use at least one cloud application.

Devoteam expansion in Italy

Devoteam’s new strategy will play out in its upcoming recruitment plans. The company plans to double the numbers of its current talented and innovative workforce through ongoing recruitment efforts over the next 18 months.

Devoteam provides employees with fast career development opportunities while working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The company has a wide variety of employee benefits including training and coaching sessions on the latest technologies, a supportive management structure built on a culture of mentorship, flexible hybrid work policies, and opportunities to work alongside partners like AWS and ServiceNow. Through these methods Devoteam can cultivate an environment where employee expertise is valued, to advance the organization’s vision of how tech for people unlocks the future.

As part of its expansion Devoteam, currently located in Milan, is looking to open a new office in Rome and a technical delivery center in Palermo. Devoteam will leverage the value of the regions in the South of Italy which are rich in talents and skills, with excellent universities and innovative ITS. Joining several other key players within the sector, Devoteam will contribute to this growing environment for young talent and digital innovators, helping to accelerate digital transformation within Italy.

“In our University we promote the importance of knowledge and know-how by offering to our students a present reality of outstanding study and a qualified professional future thanks to the relationships with companies, starting from those that operate and invest in the area.”  comments the Rector of the University of Palermo, Massimo Midiri, “Therefore we particularly welcome the nascent collaboration with Devoteam which in the near future will extend to both the scientific and training fields”.

Speaking on Devoteam’s expansion plans in Italy Francesco Cardinale, Country Manager Italy of Devoteam said, “We are focused on a select number of specific topics because we aim to maintain a high level of excellence as industry leaders, therefore we carefully select talented people to enrich our team. We offer them the opportunity to co-design their careers by connecting them with amazing people, like our supportive management team and partners who help to advance our vision. We are excited to launch these efforts in the South of Italy, and throughout the entire country.”

Devoteam has proven solid growth in more than 20 European countries and beyond. Its strategy combined with global cloud market growth and the fast-evolving digital market landscape will result in a successful initiative that will bring great value to customers throughout Italy.
